DESCRIPTION
Making data-informed decisions with patient shared decision making is an avenue towards effective and value driven therapy practice. In 2022, remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM) became a reimbursable service by Medicare. RTM has the potential to provide increased objective data to clinicians allowing for increased knowledge of home exercise program adherence, tracking physical activity and exercise intensity. This asynchronous care may improve the potential for sustained behavior change, though the full potential of RTM remains to be seen. This webinar will review the latest published data on RTM. Additionally, we will share successful RTM application examples in neurological populations and cancer rehabilitation, as well as how these can differ from more common musculoskeletal applications.

LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Define remote therapeutic monitoring and describe current evidence
  2. Identify differences between the use of remote therapeutic monitoring for musculoskeletal conditions compared to neurological diagnoses
  3. Describe integration of remote therapeutic monitoring into rehabilitation, including potential solutions to implementation barriers

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Participants will be present during the live webinar in its entirety and complete an attendance verification and feedback survey in the Academy Learning Portal within one month of the live air date.
