DESCRIPTION
This webinar will cover principles of science communication to facilitate translation of complex science and research for dissemination to broad audiences. We will primarily focus on strategies for preparing effective conference presentations and high-quality grant proposals. We will explore approaches for dealing with writer's block, summarizing while maintaining accuracy and constructing a story. Importantly, the goal of this webinar is not to provide a one-size-fits-all approach to science communication, but rather to help learners identify their preferred strategies for science communication to become more effective writers and presenters.

  1. Identify strategies for writing and editing effective scientific communication
  2. Describe how to effectively communicate complex topics through accessible presentations and written materials tailored to broad audiences
